This international training program is supported by the Department of Marine Science & Technology, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences (ITK-FPIK-IPB) and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).

The MST 2013 theme is Marine Connectivity. Understanding connectivity of marine populations is a fundamental aspect for the management and conservation of the diversity of living marine resources, management of highly harvested species, the population dynamics of marine organisms, and improving the design of marine reserves.

In the MST-2013, the participants will have lectures in classes and practical works in the laboratory or at field sites (PelabuhanRatu and Seribu Islands).

The course is divided into 8 modules as follows:

  1. Oceanography
  2. Marine Tropical Ecosystems
  3. Marine Biota
  4. Marine Resources
  5. Genetic biodiversity and connectivity
  6. Marine Resource Management
  7. Mapping,remote sensing and acoustic
  8. Environmental statistics

The registration fee is Rp. 1.300.000 (for undergraduate) Rp. 1.800.000 (for graduates with S1/S2), Rp. 2.600.000 (for junior scientist/researcher from other institution) and additional payment for Rp. 250.000,00 per field trip.
